54-INCH DIAMETER SPLASHTECH WATERSLIDE
1. All ages can safely use the Splashtech Waterslide
but it is recommended that all children under six years of age be
accompanied by an adult and wear a safety floatation device.
2. Recommended water usage is 2000 gpm.
3. Recommended rider position is feet first either sitting
up or lying down. No "chains" of people are allowed and spacing
may be as little as five seconds apart; however, spacing of larger
riders following smaller riders is at the discretion of the operator,
but the minimum spacing time (of five seconds between riders) should
at least be doubled.
4. It is also recommended that riders splash down into four
feet and six inches of water depth in a pool that is at least 16
feet wide and 30 feet long (for a single flume). For each additional
flume emptying into the same pool, add 14 feet to the pool width
(length remains the same).
80 CM DIAMETER TUBULAR WATERSLIDE
1. SPLASHTECH JR. describes a small diameter
slide with
approximately
twice the slope of the standard Splashtech Waterslide
(approximate
slope
is 15 degrees. This is not considered a speed slide, but is an
alternative to
using the large diameter waterslide). Approximate length is
250 feet (not including runout, because a pool is normally used).
Variations
of this waterslide include a full line of tubular speed slides.
2. Recommended rider position is feet first, lying down on
back with head resting on flume or on hands behind head (which would
then
rest on flume) and legs crossed at the ankles. Recommended
minimum
rider weight and height is 60 pounds and 42 inches, respectively.
3. Recommended water usage: 350 gpm for Splashtech Jr. and 150 - 250
gpm for tubular speed slides. Recommended water depth is 4½
feet minimum with a pool size of 12 feet wide and 35 feet long (single
flume); for each additional like flume emptying into the same pool,
add 10 feet additional width. Tubular speed flumes are recommended
for use only with runouts.

42-INCH DIAMETER OPEN
FLUME
1. The 42-inch Open Flume - descends at a fixed slope of
6½ to 7½ degrees, utilizing 1800 -2000 gpm
of water. Rider speed is
approximately eight to 13 miles per hour with the flume meant to be
ridden either lying
down feet first (on back) or sitting up feet first.
2. It is also recommended that riders splashdown into four
feet and three inches of water depth in a pool that is at least 16
feet wide and 30 feet long (for a single flume). For each additional
flume
emptying into the same pool, add 14 feet to the pool width (length
remains the same).
72-INCH AND 84-INCH DIAMETER OPEN FLUME
1. The 72-inch and 84-inch Open Flumes - descend at fixed
five-degree slopes
which give them a rider speed of approximately six to 11 miles per
hour. These flumes are designed for approximately 3,000 gpm of water and
can be used with inner tubes as well as body flume riders. If used as
inner tube rides, they can be used with single, double and triple
inner
tubes as well as two and three man boats. If used as body flumes, they
are to be ridden in the same manner as the 42-inch Open Flume.
2. It is also recommended that riders splashdown into four
feet and six inches of water depth in a pool that is at least 18 feet
wide and 30 feet long (for a single flume). For each
additional flume emptying into the same pool, add 16 feet to the
pool width
(length remains the same).
11 ½-FOOT DIAMETER RIVER RIDE
1. The 11 ½-foot open flume river ride is primarily used
off a 40-inch
tower with three "bumps" or descents followed respectively by three
relatively flat sections. Then the flume empties in to a pool. The
riders are to use a 78-inch flat bottom four-person raft.
2. It is also recommended that riders splash down into four
feet and six inches of water depth in a pool that is at least 22 feet
wide and 35 feet long (single flume). For each additional
flume emptying into the same pool, add 20 feet to the pool width
(length
remains the same). |
